About the Solution

The SWITEK 16 cavities PVC pipe fittings collecting and sprue cutting solution is designed for the collecting of small size PVC pipe fittings with diameters around φ20mm and without any inserting. The air scissors in this system is to cut the sprue to a small size for an easier recycling.

Unlike the old designed cold runner PVC pipe fittings mold, the new mold design adopted a submarine type gate design. The advantage of the submarine gate design is that the sprue and pipe fittings would be speperated in mold and with the pipe fittings collected by the hopper and the runner caught by the EOAT.

Have the scissors installed beside the robotic arm is an economic solutions of sprue cutting, it'll help to reduce the overall cost of the project.
